I have always been drawn to Scandinavian design!  The Scandinavian's have taken a sophisticated, European, non-hard-edged approach to design.  I love the perfect combination of old and new:

Carolyn Quartermain is a London-based designer and stylist!

She designs beautiful fabrics made of silk and floaty chiffons in magical colors.

I love how she mixes beautiful fabrics of vibrant pastels and gold combined with timeless antiques.

In a village near Hollywood, Tia Zoldan turned a plain 1920's cottage into a classic gem!

Notice how to she added the perfect amount of color by adding bright, cheery furniture pieces throughout the home:
